BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS
What’s it like to be a behavior tech?
Even if you don’t have a college degree, you can start out in the field of ABA as a behavior technician (BT). You won’t be behind a desk all day. You’ll be in a Learning Center or in a family’s home helping children (from toddlers to school age) learn to communicate, play, and reach milestones. You won’t do it alone. You’ll get training on the job and have specialists who support you from day one. It’s a great opportunity for high school graduates taking a gap year and figuring out what to do next. The work schedule is flexible, and the work is rewarding.
Make a difference in someone’s life, including yours. You can begin a position with room for growth. You’ll receive excellent training and support. Your days will include playing one-on-one with kids on the autism spectrum. You’ll grow as you learn how to adapt to challenges. Best of all, you’ll feel fulfilled with a sense of accomplishment helping others.
BEHAVIOR ANALYSTS
What’s it like to be a behavior analyst?
At SPARKS, you can lead a clinical team as a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). With a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis, you will study behavior patterns and create individualized plans to help children with autism thrive. You’ll meet with families to observe and assess behavior challenges and help them set goals. You’ll mentor and train behavior technicians (BTs) and receive the support of our team of experts from day one.
Here, you’ll find a community of collaborative colleagues, a flexible schedule that allows you to work when you want, and the opportunity for professional growth and clinical experience. We have national training and clinical standards. We offer monthly clinical and professional development events. You’ll have support from our clinicians who will give you a chance to do research and be part of something bigger.
